There are 51 educational establishments from pre-school Education to college level education under the Eparchy of Emdibir. ​

where

the

community

is

poor

to

cover

school

fees

​​Education coverage is
​less than 70% among the population.

The church is the
​pioneer of modern education in the
​Jurisdiction.

 We focus on providing access to pre-school education.

We are moving parts on improving access to quality education, reducing drop out due to economic cases and enhancing
​self-esteem of the youngsters for livelihood improvement with strategic objective based on teaching ministry of Jesus Christ.

Our Schools

Megenase St. Francis KG

The oldest school established in 1966 served more than half a century. The school is founded and administered by capuchin fathers. It was the only school in rural setting before 30 years.

Gunchire St. Maria Roza KG

Located in remote rural site and administered Bethany sisters. The school established in 2002 and served for the last 15 years.

Burat St. John the Baptist KG

It is one of the long years served school and found in remote rural site. It is founded and administered by Capuchin fathers.

St. Mark primary & Kindergarten

Established in 1978. It is founded and administered by Franciscan Missionary of Our Lady Sisters (FMOL). It is well standard and became a model in 2017 school assessment.

Gubre Walburg Primary school

Established in 2007. Now it is in a way to upgrade high school education by the newly Constructed building

Megenasse St. Francis Primary School

Woliso St. Gabriel Primary School

It provides KG – 8th grade education administered by Congregation of Mercy and Cross Sisters. The school is found 75 km from the coordination office in Oromia regional state.

Wolkite St. Joseph primary school

It provides KG – 8th grade education.The school is found in Wolkite, 35km far from Eparchy of Emdibir.

St. Anthony Secondary & preparatory School

It is the only comprehensive school in the Eparchy with primary, secondary and preparatory level of education. It is near by the Cathedral. It is very successful one in provision of standard and quality education.

St. Anthony TVET College

St. Anthony TVET is the only Technical and Vocational Education institute in the Eparchy and at the same time in the district. So far the institute provide skill training in 4 fields of study: metal manufacturing, construction, ICT and Garment and textile.
