     Background 
Bishops of Ethiopia decided to start a National Justice and Peace Commission in April 1995 then in June, 2007 the Emdibir Catholic Secretariat established Justice and Peace Desk.

                     Justice and Peace 
The Eparchy facilitates the coordination of Social Justice and Peace program activities of the Eparchy through awareness raising training workshops on basic as well as specific human rights based on Catholic social teaching and universal human rights declarations.

  1. Design a project which solve the Justice and Peace problem of the Society. 
  2. ​​Conduct a research that relates to Justice and Peace.
  3. Develop a program for awareness of the people. 
  4. Coordinate pastoral activities fostering Justice and Peace.
  5. Organise seminars and Workshops for the Church Society.
  6. Provide moral support and encouragement to all those involved in the promotion of Justice and Peace. 
  7. Establish Justice and Peace club in different Schools.
  8. Promote traditional way of conflict resolution. 
  9. Work in collaboration with similar organisations involved in working with Peace and Justice. 

 Program Aim

The Program is aimed at bringing about an integral peace or implementing the culture of peace through promoting spirituality, true love, Justice, Peace, Mutual cooperation, solidarity and development for meaningful social life in the Eparchical communities.

To Prevail Justice and Peace in the Society and also to foster development to all Human lives through the promotion of Justice and Peace.

Mission

To Promote Justice and Peace to the Society and develop a program which strengthen the Christian society.
